The George O'Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality enhances the skills of its attendees through a high-quality educational program focusing on business management principles and practices as applied to the RV park and campground industry. National School brings leading industry experts to provide participants with the skills and expertise needed to make positive impacts on the industry.

YEAR 1

  1. MARKETING your Guest Experience

  2. Creating STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES and service levels  that ensure the best guest experience

  3. Foundational Managing principles, including financial accounting  HIRING PROCEDURES, EMPLOYEE TRAINING, and LEADERSHIP

  4. Managing on a daily basis, including WORKING WITH A BUDGET and RECREATION ACTIVITIES

  5. Keeping guests safe through RISK MANAGEMENT and ADA awareness

YEAR 2

Year 2 will also focus on applying sound business strategies in decision-making and business planning. After generating a Guest Experience statement, attendees will dive into:

  1. ANALYZING MARKETING approaches

  2. Infrastructure, conservation, and business ethics

  3. Managing principles including EMPLOYMENT LAW and  creating a culture of TRAINING AND PERFORMANCE, and WORKING THROUGH CHALLENGING EMPLOYMENT CONVERSATIONS

  4. Year 2 will revisit Risk Management and ADA but will dive deeper into the long-term strategic impacts

  5. CREATING A BUDGET and understanding FINANCE OPPORTUNITIES for business growth and Determining your ROE
